It was an intersting article you posted. I looked up some of the answers to the questions it raised to see how one dimential the authors were? Here is the answers I found!...

Population of USA in 1910 was===76,212,168...

Population of USA in 2008 was===303,202,683...

Population of California in 1910 was===2,377,549...

Population of California in 2008 was===36,756,766...(source WikiAnswers.)

You will have to admit the growth in the population had something to do with the expanding budgets we see today...Lol...Lol...
