I deleted psyop's post on Soros.

One of my pet peeves is off topic messages on the EDIG board, but I usually tolerate them. To delete every off topic post would often be an all day affair. What I won't tolerate are political off topic messages on the EDIG board. The reason is obvious...political opinions are widely diverse and strongly felt by Americans. When disagreements ensue, and they always will, the results are a total disruption of EDIG discussion for hours if not days. As one of over 20 Hub Leaders, I have an obligation to enforce Agora's rules. The EDIG board is not a soapbox to share or vent political opinions no matter the distant/remote relevance they may have to EDIG; Agora gave us this Off Topic Forum for such posts. If you disagree, contact Agora (via PM...LOL) and ask them.

Though it isn't required, I like your suggestion of giving a courtesy PM to the member when a post is deleted and will follow that practice in the future. Having said that, if PMing results in angry responses from members, I will stop PMing. I'm not here to debate post contents; Agora has rules of engagement and I will delete those posts that violate them. Thanks for your concern in keeping Agora the best forum on the Internet.
