People are thinking of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s resignation. But perhaps irony looms in the fate of many including the stalwarts of Obama Administration.

The pressure on Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to resign rises exponentially with the start of impeachment proceedings Tuesday, but there may be good reason for the embattled governor to hunker down in office:

It was tough decision for Blagojevich. He knows he is not alone in the game. All those special “characters” that used to match our little contributions from Chicago in Obama online Presidential campaign fund raising in strange names may finally be brought into the daylights.

The biggest Obama has made is Former (almost) impeached President Nixon did in early seventies. Obama is not coming out clean. In order for him to survive, he has to dump his Chicago underworld friends including those helped him to secure the Whitehouse.

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich stays back in office because he has decided not to go down alone in the game plan. He will take with him big names no one can even think of at this stage.

It’s his bargaining chip. He’s in a much better position to make a deal if he was a sitting governor.

U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald publicized the federal corruption probe earlier than he had planned, suggesting a concern on his part for the harm that Blagojevich’s continued tenure would have on the state. He would seemingly have an interest in getting Blagojevich out of office sooner rather than later, experts said.

Obama and his Chicago political underworld friends wants Blagojevich to shut up and go. But that isn’t happening at least till the deal man Blagojevich gets his deal done. In the process, a lot of big names are in trouble in the Southside Chicago.
