I was surprised to see my post of my conversation with RP, reposted.....I can`t even find it and I wrote the doggone thing.. (SKY56-POST NUMBER 469531)

Just to let you know, and I hope over the years I have gained enough veracity to be believed, that I DO NOT MAKE UP THINGS, EVENTS, WORDS, ETC.. That post was as I remembered my conversation with RP from the day before I posted it. I distincly remember RP telling me of EDig`s business plan because I questioned him while he was telling me of it. HE DEFINITELY MENTIONED RENTING, RENTALS, FINANCIAL PARTNER AND ITS ROLE, CONTENT PROVIDERS AND EDIG`S ROLE IN ALL THIS.

He did mention the eVu`s could/would be outright sold but said the business plan WAS TO RENT THE DAMN THINGS. I DID NOT MAKE THAT UP NOR DID I MISUNDERSTAND HIM. The were no intimate, OPERATING details discussed but the general plan was to create a personal menu for a customer designed around what the customer wanted on/in the eVu. That customer would order, EDig would involve the ``financial partner`` for the monetary end, approval, CREDIT, etc...

THE CUSTOMER WOULD THEN BE REQUIRED TO PUT A DOWNPAYMENT ON THE ORDER...TO THOSE OF YOU OUT THERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW EDIG WOULD PAY FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF THE UNITS....

T H E R E I S Y O U R A N S W E R....

The customer would then make all rental payments to the ``financial partner`` who would take its cut and send EDig`s cut to Edig. All EDig would be required to do would be collect and count the money.

I asked if an accounting department would be required to keep track of all outstanding units and RP`s vorciferous answer was ``NO``. A computer and ``perhaps`` a clerk would be all that was required.

EDig`s business plan is being set up so that EDig`s will have almost nothing to do except, sell, take orders, have the unit manufactured and deliver them.

I distinctly asked if more employees would be needed to service the units, refresh content, travel all over the place to accomplish outstanding business...and his answer again was a quick and loud ``NO``....

He stated: ``Frank we are setting up a business plan that will, if successful, allow us to not worry about customer units. If a unit breaks down we do not have to send a service rep to fix it, the customer simply mails it back to us and we fix it. If a customer wishes to refresh content every now and then, on this detail I am unsure of the procedure as to whether the customer contacts EDig and EDig then places the refresh order with the content provider or if the customer contacts the content provider directly.

In either case the customer creates his own menu for the eVu, EDig has nothing to do with that aspect and nothing to do with loading the refreshed content.

EDig is trying to avoid having to hire a bunch of people to do ANYTHING.....

I know EDig will get paid for any refreshed content but I do not know the details of that. Perhaps the customer has to go through EDig to the content provider in which case the customer will pay EDig, who will take its cut, then to the content provider who will be paid by EDig.. That seems to make more sense to me...

In any case I AM NOT MISTAKEN IN HEARING WHAT RP TOLD ME FACE TO FACE....Things can change but thats what I HEARD..

Frank
