What gives the DigEplayer the graces of the studios is the hard drive configuration and I/O to it...e.Digital may or may not be involved in the content security layers involved for distribution....as they sub layer under the HDD once distributed.

For the HDD and I/O...e.Digital would have had to prove to the studios their methodologies worth....I do not see it to be a problem.

Triad will have to do the same...and as far as I can see they will offer nothing more than standard HDD bios.

e.Digital will format the drive under their methods...along with their methods of timed entry to it.

Samsung and MSFT are trying to make a similar approach.
