I was told by someone that visited Poway (he occasionally posts here) about a month ago that the orrigional order (the trial sample) was in the hundreds. From your comment, ``We own factories in Korea that are all custom work and we produce product in a similar price range to the eVU. Those OEM deals can be for as little as 300 units`` I think this corroborates the notion that my friend was told. These were then supposedly sent out as part of the trials being conducted by companies in the healthcare and travel and leisure industries.

I suspect this is why the PR announced ``it has begun receiving orders for its new proprietary eVU portable entertainment product`` For the most part these received orders were for the eVu`s that were used as samples and market testing. The second part of yesterdays announcement states ``we are now accepting volume eVU orders.`` I interpret this as meaning that they anticipate orders for all those sample units sent out. It`s worded in such a way that it requires interpretation. The good news is the actual # of units first ordered. If most of them are already in the field being tested by prospective customers then it represents significant potential. Even if a trial is 10 - 15 units it represent 20 - 30 customers. At this point I`d settle for one.
