Mr. Minister (I must now call him ``Mr.`` due to my new found PTSC gains) is correct. Maycom does biz in the US and will face the music here -- based on my experience.
It is not at all difficult to sue a company in the US which has it`s HQ on foreign soil. I have been in that wonderful deposition & cross examine chair on way too many occasions from both sides of the table. It does suck and it is expensive.
However, most good trademark / patent attorney`s are quite skilled and they know how to squeeze the `nads of the corporate executive management teams involved. When dealing with Asian companies, they would rather cut their leg off than go to court in the US unless someone tinkeled on their parade or publicly accused them of a dishonorable act (copying ain`t one of them). Trademark and patent laws have never been largly enforced in most of SE Asia, but that is changing.
All IMO....and who listens to big dumb guys from Tennessee anyway? (Go Mempho!)
