MovieBeam Gets Investment

Disney`s failed MovieBeam venture has resurfaced with $52.5M in funding, according to a regulatory filing. The Disney spinoff, which provided video on demand services over broadband, shut down in April of 2005, after issues related to its test in several markets. According to the filing, MovieBeam has now received funding from Cisco, Intel Capital, Mayfield, and Norwest Venture Partners, along with ABC.
