for consumer devices... utilizing flash @ or for their embedded device management....

This level of flash is where the reverse engineering that a company... such as TPL....will be investigating.

Any device utilizing embedded flash as a main memory will be in question.

Reading where Samsung and MSFT branching out with regard to flash as main memory...would mean others are experimenting....keep an eye on Intel/Analog Devices` joint DSP enterprise....that was also a development after the engagement of Intel and e.Digital....it may lean on flash for management.

Also flash that is fixed(embedded)and dedicated on a consumer device for file storage...is in questioned.

These fixed flash devices for storage have to have a hardware controller scheme to manage them...such as Sandisk...Msystems....

Companies like Apple would have to license some form of scheme from someone be it hardware or a software solution...or provide some form of proof that the controller scheme belongs to them....e.Digital`s process is a software solution.

Underpinnings can not be revealed until they are reversed and studied....IMO...I said it was too early thinking that anticipated proliferation would not be significant yet...maybe it is.
