MAXjet to launch Washington service in March--digEplayer mention

January 20, 2006 - TRANSATLANTIC low-cost operator MAXjet Airways has announced March 17 as the launch date for its Washington Dulles-London Stansted service.
Washington DC-based MAXjet currently operates all-business-class services between New York JFK and London Stansted at what it describes as “everyday low fares”. Its Boeing 767-200ERs are configured with 102 business-class seats and the service offering includes IFE delivered via handheld digEcor digEplayers.
MAXjet’s standard round-trip fares start at $1,750. To celebrate the Dulles launch it is offering a non-refundable round-trip fare of $999. Scheduled service from Stansted to Washington to begin March 17. Flights will leave Dulles at 7.30pm, arriving in Stansted at 830am the following day. Return flights will depart Stansted Airport at 1.00pm, arriving at Dulles at 4.30pm the same day.
MAXjet launched service from New York JFK on November 1 and now offers flights six days a week. Daily service on this route will begin on March 18.
The 767s’ seats at located at 60in pitch and recline almost flat; there are no middle seats. As well as the digEplayers, the service offering includes pre-departure drinks, multi-course meals and a chef`s pantry.
