It`s all in the fine print. Some ``work-for-hire`` OEM deals leave the buyer with the IP. Some do not. At my company, we do both and are very careful on the front end so we don`t end up in court, again. My guess is EDIG and Boyer were not so careful. So, problems arise when the main players move or are either lame, incompetent, or just naive to CYA business tactics.
EDIG maintains they own the digEplayer tech design and APS designed only the cosmetics. Makes sense to me.
Wencor wants to own the whole package and manage their manufacturing to cut costs and raise profits. Also makes sense if we owned Wencor corporate shares.
Thus, the new eVU. EDIG has very careful to state this is an all new design. Atul was not dumb. EDIG owns it.
