Apple Computer will not send

representatives to the 2005 Consumer

Electronics Show. However, a number

of Apple`s rivals will attend,

equipped with their ``iPod killers``.

Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Panasonic,

Sharp and Sony are among the groups

that will make an appearance at the

trade show, which will open in Las

Vegas on 6 January. Samsung will

have a stand encompassing 3,000

square metres. Apple is focussing

on its plans for the upcoming

Macworld expo in San Francisco.
