I am sorry as far as I am concerned there is nothing to report. Don might have a tidbit or two since he always stays an extra day to visit his mother and generally goes back to the CES to ferret out more.

We hit all the biggies (Intel, Microsoft, TI..etc) to see if there was any EDig presence...No success. We looked for any EDig familiar faces...No success...I talked to RP at 5:00 PM Wednesday evening and he was still in his office, so he wasn`t there....

The entire CES was one big wall to wall Television Set...We had to physically work hard to find a computer, or cell phones or wireless phones....etc....There were many small screens, big screens, wireless screens, all kinds of everything you could show video on, however nothing that competed with the VU....Everything there that could be competition for the VU was for the retail market and did not come with content. We asked a number of knowledgeable people, in various booths, about their knowledge of ``ultra wide band`` and when it might available...None could answer any questions about and some did not know anything about it.

I found this fairly important because unless something comes up technologicaly wise other than UWB that makes downloading to all these videos players in 30-60 seconds these players are just going to sit on shelves or in someones closet, if they are purchased at all, because right now (I may be wrong but one of you techies out there can correct me if I am) its a one to one ratio for downloading. Meaning if you have a one hour CD you wish to put on one of these players it will take you one hour to do it....AND EVERYONE AGREES NO ONE WILL DO IT...So even with all the content being released right now to go on these players it HAS TO GET ON THEM SOMEWAY.....

Reading the board this morning it seems more good EDig news has come here than from the CES. It`s obvious that EDig was in some back room somewhere showing off the MV or Vu, whatever, and this reporter was there, however I was not privy....Too bad.... Any way if you need a TV that has the ability to do anything, and I mean ANYTHING...wireless for the entire house, connect you toaster to channel 10, bring up any movie from 1915 on, at your demand, watch anything that is one TV at any time at your demand....etc...

GO....
