Google will announce on Friday a plan to let consumers buy TV shows and other videos from its video-search service, using software called Google Pack, the Wall Street Journal is reporting.

Google will probably announce partnerships with CBS and the National Basketball Association as part of the new service, according to the newspaper.

The announcement will be made Friday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, during Google co-CEO Larry Page`s keynote speech, the newspaper said.

There are also reports that Google Pack will include Firefox, Norton Anti-Virus, Adobe`s Reader, RealPlayer, Trillian instant-messaging software and Lavasoft`s Ad-Aware anti-spyware software. It is also said to include Google Earth, Picasa (Google`s picture-managing program), Google Talk and Google`s Toolbar add-on.
