Just a thought on the whole gambling in the air business model...think Internet.

No one needs a ``special`` MED or digEplayer or slot machine or any other device to gamble at 30,000 feet. The software is free and available everywhere. You just need your notebook or PDA and an Internet connection -- which multiple companies can supply, including a portion of the solution from a company like EDIG.

The problem for the airlines is simple. They don`t make money when a traveler uses the internet to place bets or play table games.

Gambling specific to an airline would need an advantage -- such as a free trip if you stake $500 or offer other incentives.

I agree with those Wild Winke Bros who have had experience in the gambling industry. IMO, this is not a highly profitable venture for an airline. It is also short lived with airlines bringing on a much more sought after and consumer friendly feature such as Internet connectivity.
