IMO, There is no standoff.

The Patents indeed have and shown to be of tremendous value. Fred has driven this home with Handal and team. Value comes in many forms, but the most important and impacting form - IMO at this time, is not the all mighty dollar . One of the biggest companies in the world acknowledged thes patents, agreed to Licensing of these patents, and currently intergrating into their development eco system(IMO). Pending success of this integration will drive the all mighty dollar.  PTAB/AIA is meaningless at this point and discussions on this are futal. The value is already established with a limitless upside.

The most important thing to take away from this process, IMO is the solution the patents are derived from.

Google is here for the solution. Handal has ensured this is protected. Google IMO is a company with integrity to give credit where credit it due. the agreement is proof of this.

Patents worthless? ha ha... that statement is 100% false.

The Solution is what one needs to understand. This solution as Fred commented will play a major role in IOT and Mobile communications. Fred spelled it out very clearly if one is paying attention.

Great things are going to happen. ignore the negativety. a distraction from the real value thats in play here.
