The cmooments you allude to were not made by TI people...

I was there...

It was CES 2000. TI engineers told D. Inkie that they had indeed heard of EDIG and knew of Mos.

The comments were made by the Audiovox engineer, who also

knew of EDIG and what they could do. And, it was that engineer who said their management had balked on the idea of using EDIG tech to get a product to the market by telling the engineering department that they would shut it down if it could not produce a product similar to the ``Puck`` or the TREO which EDIG was touting at that time.

Funny that this topic should come up now. As I write this I am listening to an Audiovoux marketed portable 4.2 inch LCD monitor CD/DVD player in a bag, model # D14220, which is being sold by Sears, Target stores, Circuit City, and God know who else, while EDIG is ``Talking`` about selling their version of AUDIO/VIDIO Mediveiwer unit.

The problem with EDIG has never been that no one knows about them, nor there has been lack of recognition by other major companies like TI or Intel. The problem always

been that others have always been able to ``Market`` other

products which do the same job, even where it might not do it as good.

This yea there wll be millions of D1420 sold because AUDIOVOX has a marketing agent who knows where to go to get a sale contract...

jtdii and OZ are right that EDIG needs to focus on an effective sales team. Otherewise the ``Cycle`` of it being beaten to the market, shall continue.

You can see D1420 by going to www.audiovoux.com and type the number in the search box for the picture and specs.
