It's interesting their looking to the guard-bands, but as for us now until atleast 2020 we will go after the LANs/Gateways set up by business/individuals to run IoT devices via establised wifi means; they will just have to cooredinate it for the most part on the Edge-servers to prioritize data before sending it unto the cloud and back to the cell-ph per notifications for now.

As things proliferate and devices need waken-up tied to to real-time critical data needs and IPv6 kicks in, then the cell babds will be ready, and they antisipate it.
