The following was crafted in response to a post that was read on a different board mentioning EDIG and I thought it was the EDIG board. I am reposting most of it here for consideration of the correct audience.
Independent product development is not a bad idea but may require more capital than the company has at present.
What is needed at this time (IMHO) is greater "mind share" which can be used to get to market share down the road. Since there is presumably no exclusivity to any of the licenses in terms of applications, it might be more useful for the company to spend more (as least some) effort writing articles and papers on the technology and its applicability for industry publications. Teaching but not preaching. Helping the reader understand in a nonthreatening way what the inventions have to offer
If they don't see fit to do so, find a credible and appropriately credentialed individual within this community to do so crafting something using all of well thought out and considered comments shared here as resource materials to present the analysis. Write for the would be (or current) users and not necessarily the investors. However, leaving some bread crumbs for the latter to follow would not hurt.
Editors of electronics industry journals are always looking for interesting content to help them sell ads. There are also countless bloggers who could be put on the scent. They would likely find the "rumor" of a Google EDIG deal tempting to follow up on. All here have had presented to us evidence that it happened. Though it seems now to have been erased from public record, it does not mean that it did not happen. And there is nothing like a good rumor to peak curiousity and questioning.
Talking to the parishoners here is great for reinforcing the faith of the believers but there is need to do more evangilizing outside the church of Agoracom. One thing that is certain is that a message undelivered is one that will never be read.
