Google owns Nest and Dropcam. EDIG filed suit against all three. It was announced that the suits against Nest and Dropcam were dropped per a Pacer. Shortly thereafter the settlement and licensing agreement with Google was up on Pacer. There has not been a PR regarding the settlement. Don't know who owns Allure or if it is public or private. Allure owns patents associated with the home security industry and they sued Nest regarding same, thus the Nest/Allure settlement. Money to EDIG, unknown. Where might it come from, not positive but most likely from Google because that is who we settled with and executed a licensing agreement with. Would Google need or want to buy EDIG now that they have a license, don't know. Hope this helps.
