You know what?
When Nunchi tech was "introduced" at the shm, in 2011 I think it was, in which contextual awareness was explained, an example given was a Mom taking kids to eat at Pizza Hut, then to a movie. Via GPS and other sensors, the smart phone tracked her "habits", so in this case, when the car was close to the Pizza Hut, a coupon was sent to her for $3.00 off.
Qualcomm tech was referenced in this blurb...it was called Gimbal.
That's my memory on the topic, help needed by others who were there please, so now Google, who's outfits Dropcam and Nest are in court as you reference, is coming up with this app?
Nunchi was said to be back in 2011 and put on the website, to be of use by OEM's, wireless carriers and search engines, with an emphasis on generating advertising revenues.
So, what's up at Google I wonder?
