``The TMS320DM644x™ architecture is a highly integrated SoC that is based on the TMS320C64x+™ DSP core, an ARM926 processor and includes video accelerators, networking peripherals and external memory/storage interfaces all specifically tuned for video. This high level of integration reduces overall system cost.``

``Review complete details about software, including information about MontaVista Linux.``

``Get started today with the new Digital Video Evaluation Module (DVEVM). The DVEVM allows developers to write production-ready application code for the ARM and access to the DSP core using DaVinci APIs``

API to DSP core is what e.Digital is all about.

Where this leaves us now....I have no idea...TI has morphed DSP/bios into the abstraction/translation machine...I had hoped e.Digital to become.

Even though TI has layered in a set of API(read, write,name,rename....etc.), in order to translate higher application to the DSP core environment....there is still no telling the structure that the API`s sit on.

MOS API is contrived on a patented structure with novel means to traverse.

Join us December 12 for exciting news on DaVinci Products

Would this be the new processor mentioned in recent e.Digital news...? it`s ``all specifically tuned for video``

gernb1....thanks
