RE: application....yes I agree with that.
It 's for sure something docketed as a case .
Regarding the prior patents, the only things that I have come across are changes made to verbiage...e.g. the word "said" , where an application was not necessary. I did not notice a case docketed for that type of change. Might go back and review that sequence of events.
I just meant by stating, re-exam, that some form of review in general is happening based on a Petition Requesting Trial.
The following is what PTO now charges per doc to take a peek,,,,lol....Not worth paying for what might amount to a verbiage change... such that I have read in the past not having an application.
