Sent an email to Fred at 4:33 am this morning telling him it was down, expressed concerns etc.
He called me at 11:05 saying they were aware of the issue and their outsourced 3rd party provider made a software change without notice that shut us down.
This 3rd party uses something called iPower. The changes were not compatible with edig's software so we went down. Fred notified our IT guy, he coordinated the fix and got us back up about 11:30.
Finding the source of the shut down had to be determined 1st, then go from there.
So I said, "then this has nothing to do with the website upgrade mentioned on the VSHM?" "No, I stated on Sept 3rd this was about 3 months out before the new site is up. Nothing is under construction at this time."
So, this was totally out of his control and other customers were effected as well.
