I don't for one minute believe EGIG officials were ever interested in or are currently interested in selling this company and I have no idea if they were ever approached. However, I do think that there was a time the selling price for the shares would have been far greater than they are now.

It hurts me to say this but I think any prospective buyer/infringer is betting the courts will not be kind to EDIG and the newest patents everyone is so taken with, will be unenforceable. Perhaps the court will be kinder. In the meantime, they can continue to infringe and pay later. It seems to be a no lose situation for them.
