Agreed--not sure the value, but some of these companies(SanDisk, Hewlett Packard) cannot afford to go to court and lose and be branded as thieves and cheaters to the rest of the tech world. In comes the dreaded NDA to which we are accustomed. Presumably Handal will be able to secure larger settlements by not making the amounts public. After all, we are not here to embarrass someone, just to get as much money as we can. Also, not sure where 14 years came from regarding patent expiration, Nunchi was granted 3 years ago this coming Oct. and Micro Signet 2 years ago this fall so the 17 or 18 year figure would seem more accurate.
