Optical memory

nanocrystals.....optically addressed memory devices...``programmed and erased electrically via charge injection and optically via internal photoemission.``

``The memory devices are read optically by monitoring

the photoluminescence (PL) intensity, which varies according to the average charge state of the nanocrystals embedded in the device.``

RE; flash

``consumed by the 9 to 12volt transistors required to write and erase the conventional flash module``

Voltages are below that statement.....

I note that they do not give the voltage amounts to light up nanocrystals or discharge them.

With regard to e.Digital and what they do...

doesn`t matter if a programmed logic state of a device is read optically.... or by taking a head count after electrically charging select bacteria to raise their hands.

They can manage any suppilied logic scheme.
