The people involved may invoke these circumstances as the reason of what we observe. Although Duane Morris did not serve the best interests of Edig, the firm, nevertheless, managed to settle for far larger amounts than Handal. In fact, if my memory is serving me right, some of these settlements were of the order of 1 or 2 millions. These problems we are talking about now existed then too and my question is why this difference. As a matter of fact Duane Morris did not have the legal advandages Handal does and one may even raise the issue of their competence.
