Google Food for Thought

There are some smart people at Google who want to dominate certain industries. They purchased Dropcam because they saw something they liked and perhaps beyond what Dropcam currently produces. Now they have an interesting situation with Nunchi and context awareness. They clearly want what context awareness means to much more than just Dropcam current business. This is just a small part of it. Google now is in a win win situation with Edigital. They can play this out all the way to trial. They can see how solid the Nunchi patents are. They are getting a free look so to speak on how Nunchi will hold up in court. If they eventually win then they win. If they lose they still win because they can buy Edigital and pay themselves any settlement. This way they now have the court case validating the Nunchi patents they now own. They controlled the legal process and they then have the advantage not only against Dropcam customers but also other context awareness industries. I see this has an experiment for them and see no reason for them to settle because they want the advantage over competitors not the same rights as anyone else. They really cannot lose here. IMO
