I was setting these up for persons-with-disabilities in 1987; had one of my own doing all kinda cool stuff until lighting took it out in 2003.
This guy didn't mention the half of what it could do; you could can program its macros to do anything via its motion/sound detection, alarm system or a phone call.
Never forget the Amiga1000 days at UK and this -
did need duo-mics for noise cancelation. lol And dang ifit didn't have an optional seperate RAM Pack besides battery-backuk to store all saved programming - which btw had to be non-volitile memory... hmmm
