haiyaku...yes, for sure.
In a nut shell, the CO defendants got their way by convincing the judge that the flash, with regard to the whole patent, did not utilize RAM (eg NOR flash)....and gave no weight, what so ever, that other memories could be implemented by the patent (eg NAND).
This round, the defendants were trying to convince the judge that the Flash is RAM(NOR)....and this judge was smarter than that.
All that, just because NOR has XIP. NOR still has to be programmed and re-programmed depending on the data management…. and that requires RAM…it’s still a trapped electron memory just like NAND.
Why things got so far out of hand makes no sense.
As it looks to me, we are sitting on solid rock now.
I’m very confident that we march on from here with new issues as well.
