I flew Jet Blue last yesterday and while their IFE is better than nothing, it is quite annoying to be constantly interrupted with either the pilot`s break-ins or getting knocked offline by cloud interference.

Still, it`s free, so what the heck. jmho

TV-equipped RJs enter service

November 14, 2005 – THE world’s first regional jet to feature live inflight TV has entered service in the colours of US low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways.

The New York-based airline has just introduced its first LiveTV-equipped Embraer 190. The aircraft’s cabin features leather seats and IFE comprising in-seat live television and 100 channels of satellite radio.

JetBlue plans to accept a total of seven similarly equipped 190s this year and 19 in 2006. The airline has a total of 101 on firm order, with options on 100

more through to 2016.
