I`d bet there was a combination of near simultaneous actions; that after the ASM the BoD met with Atul due to a lot of negative feedback on Atul`s non-presentation and suggested he step down to VP-Engineering, and Atul said no, I think I`ll just move on to pursue other interests. Pretty simple and understandable from both ``sides``.

As for EDIG`s selection of Will as a replacement President/CEO, I am very impressed by one thing - that EDIG management/BoD actually went to their engineering staff and apparently asked for recommendations, and actually LISTENED to what they had to say, and acted on it. How often does THAT happen in any company? So there was an obvious sensitivity to maintaining some ``congeniality`` (for lack of a better word - maybe ``harmony``?). And it`s interesting that another EDIG engineer wasn`t suggested/accepted (though this is somewhat consistent with a true/pure engineer`s mentailty - keep me away from the paper!).

As for the potential of the ``connection`` coming through ATCO; ATCO isn`t a defense SUBcontractor, but a prime contractor (i.e., they do business direct with the Gov`t/DoD for military applications, not through another entity such as N-G). This fact adds a lot of credence to the currently understood scenario (found Will through internal recommendations).

FWIW,

SGE
