As a former commander in the field I can see numerous opportunities for medeviewer to be connected to a frequency hopping radio for transmission of medical and or casualty information to higher headquarters and next higher medical facilities. Advance word of incoming casualties not only in terms of raw numbers, as is now possible by simple radio communication, but by transfering actual medical records in real time could be invaluable to the field medical facility. Faster triage saves lives and maximizes medical personal and facilities. I would not be surprised to see something along this line. I would not speculate as to whether we might actually be involved, but it (medeviewer) would certainly seem to offer lots of possibilities to military medicine. I really hesitate to make posts like this because I have nothing factual upon which to base my suppositions, but I guess we can all hypothesize as long as we make it clear that is what we are doing. Best
