I understand what you're saying, but if I had that much money, I would do everything I could possibly do to "legally avoid" what has become a ridiculous tax policy in this country. Even more so if I ran a publicly traded company and my responsiblility was to the shareholders.
We are under no obligation to take the path where we are required to pay the most taxes.
