I do not believe that comparing Edig with a 2014 IPO candidate is a valid comparison. Edig has been around the block, had a few minor successes, and mostly mishandled the flash portfolio which they are still attempting to get some income from. I believe they learned from past mistakes and have not made the same ones with Nunchi and Micro Signet. Yes, it still remains to be seen if they can monetize those two, but I think they still have some time to be successful with either or both, but the clock is ticking. Many start ups are valued on what they may be able to do in 5 or 10 years(Facebook's latest acquisition) and are carrying significant start up debt. Edig is debt free and successfully paying the bills and is not attempting to expand. I attended the SHM in August and was favorably impressed by both Pat Nunally and Anton Handal. Fred is lucky to have both in his corner. Why can't one smart inventor(Nunally) and one smart attorney(Handal) from a botique law firm work with outside consultants(Blue Sands and IPMetrics) to invent, value, market, sell, and protect patents? Edig either will or will not make us all happy, but it will not be because they are not the prototypical 2014 hot shot start up.
