Sources close to Santa Claus today confirmed that jolly old St. Nick completed a successful pilot of the Digeplayer this year, while circumnavigating the globe on Christmas eve, to deliver christmas presents and good cheer to all the good little boys and girls.

A Santa Claus spokesperson said that the North Pole had been looking into in-flight devices since last year, and with the wave of portable devices proliferating in the past twelve months, ``we felt we needed to make a decision, and equip Santa`s sleigh this year, in order to remain at the cutting edge.`` The source also said that Santa had been looking for a way to spend those long hours in-flight - especially as he makes his return trip home. ``Those final hours for Santa and his team are especially long and tedious, and having some cool in-flight entertainment really helped the time pass quickly for Santa and his team of elves who accompanied him on the journey this year.``

Santa claus liked the idea of using the Digeplayer, since it is completely portable and did not add significant weight to the sleigh - already fully laden with toys. ``The challenge was to find a device that could be installed quickly in the sleigh, and that would not slow the team down.
