As I look at the recent changes, I am as confused as I have been for more than a year. I had no idea why they elevated Atul in the first place, even though many praised his promotion, since his background didn’t show that he had the experience at the executive level. They should have left him at the helm of engineering.
Then they went and gave an important board position to Renee, who graduated from an online university. As to their comment about needing a financial expert on the board, that’s why we have an audit firm monitoring our accounting procedures and reporting.
Now we hire another San Diego graduate, I suppose they look through the records and see who is available and residing in the area and fits the requirements somewhat. I see Will has moved around from job to job over the last ten years. Also I don’t see any top level executive responsibilities other than project manager. Why didn’t they include his titles related to his responsibilities in the areas of manufacturing, marketing and finance?
Why didn’t they go out and find a seasoned executive in the industry, and at the same time they could have replaced FF with a proven sales executive, one with a high record of achievement.
John, don’t you think they would have stated that a long and detailed search transpired if that was a fact, and what search firm did they use, probably none.
The entire process is typical of their track record.
Now on the plus side, I do hope Blakeley’s experience proves to be a positive and we will continue to see success and even a profit in the near future. Also, perhaps the new products will sell themselves and having FF in charge of sales will not be a detriment.
