If the speculative comments that IPm is now out of the picture is correct, IMO that is a good thing...yes, I really mean that!
They were hired to do a valuation of NUNCHI's IP Portfolio, be the marketing / managing channel to EDIG's target markets, being device OEM's, wireless carriers, search engine firms and social media outlets.
Whether they were getting a montly fee or 100% commission based compensation for licensing the tech, is immaterial.
At the SHM, thanks to our probing reporting BLR, it was reveiled over 50 and less than 100 outfits have been "introduced / notified" of our patent portfolio and "many are conducting DD."
If you recall, when NUNCHI etc was shown on their website, a form was there to apply for the information in which an NDA was required. This to me means "many" have done so.
Now that Handal has been brought into the picture to execute iron clad licensing contracts, to me this means, the valuation and marketing efforts are all but complete and it is time for IPm to take a step back, they have fulfulled the majority of their task specific part of the deal and will get paid upon completion of executed licensing.
To think they got "fired" IMO is completly off base. They were hired to perform a specific role, they have all but completed such, now it is time to put the finishing touches on it via our buddy TONY and company!
In my line of work, the sales force secured the orders, then turned them over to me to project manage the contract, with the sales force taking a back seat and only returned into the picture on an as needed basis, which my my decision.
Part 1: get the patents approved
Part 2: market the tech and secure preliminary agreements (orders)
Part 3: get the lawfirm involved (project mgr)
That's how I see things.
