First you need to give your pass words...
All email metadata is logged forever.....it's the nature of moving messages....you submit to a server, it saves(logs) and forwards to a recipient, where @ the recipient, all metadata is logged to their account as well.
There is no other way of directing the service.
Until the sender can send digital data to a recipient directly without server interaction this problem exists, it's not going away, and managing the collected intermediate metadata gets to be more of an attention for authorities.
"Immersion takes a look inside your Gmail account,"
What if you have your email set up to erase the email from your account once it is served to your computer ? Or you remove the email directly from your account ?
My email accounts are set up to forward to me and erase copies at the server(my accounts), I have run the test, and they are removed from my account on the server, at least that which I have access to directly.
Thing is, it's not removed, just the access to me is, and I do not have access to the email files after that. All email files are then on the back side of my account.
When one hands the Keys to Cesar(Immersion) and there are no email files that you have access to anymore, how does Immersion get access to the back side logged information? Because the back side belongs the the provider not the account owner...and handing the keys do not get you there, you do not have access to the logs.
That is the scary part.
