"737 by itself....formats a memory environment for use...in scanning the whole memory for bad segments, marking them, and creating data that is placed within that memory environment and manage it...."

Your comment really gets to the heart of the issue of why '737 is so valuable.

Handal can't let the case get hung up on the idea of the user being required to manually insert something. (Users are seldom required to manually insert anything into an Apple product.) Only recently have they started including any ports on their devices. But they do use Flash memory. And I believe they use our technology to test and manage that memory. Essentially, they have inserted the memory into the device and sealed it. Who inserts the memory and when is not the real issue, as Apple wants to make it. Nor is it an issue whether the data segments are voice recordings, songs, photos, or whatever: all are data.

Just because Apple have chosen to seal their devices and make user access to the Flash memory difficult does not mean they are not using our technology to perform a memory test every time the device is powered on.

My Android Samsung phone does a Flash memory test every time it powers up. It came with a Micro SD card installed. I have never had to insert anything, though I could, if I chose to, open the phone and remove and replace the card, and/or install another card. Then the phone would start checking the new card. This is '737 in action. Inserting and removing cards is not what the patent is about. Samsung settled.
