But Doni has a contrary opinion. (If I may..) He believes that some of the security protocol in the digEplayer was designed/developed by APS (Henson, most likely).

What I`m getting at is that IF we didn`t use the same set of security protocals (including that of APS) in the Kino and the Kino offers satisfactory security for secure content, it seems THAT tech could easily find its way into a Mede. Everything else in the Mede would be off-the-shelf or EDIG unique (okay, also DivX and perhaps Ittiam) - that is for a Mede as I describe (comparable in function to the basic digE - or even the enhanced version).

The more profound (perhaps) aspect of this line of thinking is that the ``nut`` that Doni often points out (APS IP in digE security protocal set) may have been cracked long ago, and is not an issue or barrier in Mede development (which was I biggest current ``worry``).

Interested in his and others` take on this line of thought.

KNOW nuttin`!
