Okay, it`s been a half hour and no help. I`m thinking Kino came along in Spring/early Summer `04, or about 6-9 months after the digE was announced. Subject to correction!

Now, having made this assumption, we have been told that the Kino is secure content capable - audio and video - hence the interest by Fusion.

So if the Kino was secure content capable, was this accomplished using only EDIG tech (as I`m thinking), or with some APS security protocol thrown in? Doni?

I`m thinking, again, that the Kino was ALL EDIG. Would the security of the Kino pass muster with the studios? ``Kinda gotta`` think it would, or why bother ``advertising`` the secure content attribute.

In case you`re trying to figure out where I`m headed here, it`s part of my quest to determine whether EDIG has a Mede available NOW - a ``stripped down``, NOT full function Mede - something comparable to the basic digE but without any APS developed IP.

IF we do have such a thing, are we not ready to compete head-to-head with digEcor re: digE/medE?

It`s been reported that EDIG was at Hamburg, but in stealth mode and NOT reported as being in the Wencor booth. Is this why they were there? Or to push the full-blown medE under development?

Just a bunch of food for thought....

And I KNOW nuttin`!
