That circuitry stuff is all well and good, even patented, however, they also have other patented issues regarding the transmission of data ...be it to flash memory.....or any memory.....The methods involved in that transmission can be utilized for other needs such as transmitting data across networks.

There are also other details of great importance, patented. That being the packaging of the data to be transmitted....with power issues also considered for them.

For the CE concerns...It's a combination of power saving circuitry issues, power saving processing issues, and the versatility of the packaged data.
