IMO--the company clearly believes that the use of NDA,s is to their benefit. A broad change in philosophy is just not going to happen. I believe that the company feels that they were too forthcoming in the past and got burned for it. The pendelum may have swung too far in the other direction, but that is just what happens. All this said, I believe there is some sort of middle ground where Fred would not be quite so tight lipped and also not be speaking too freely so as to put the company's success at risk or be accused of producing fluff comments.
