They`ll be looking for the standardized components and how they trace on the PCB.....and where e.Digitals firmware ties in.

That firmware(combination of hardware and software) has a direct bearing on the final cost....and how it brings the PCB together.

If the object of this whole thing is to get cost down to e.Digital`s cost.....they will reverse the DP.....then create a firmware set to replace e.Digitals.

You are right...there are other opp`s out there and they`re not for free. Triad will make an attempt to bring the PCB....or as close as possible... together with REDHAT.

e.Digital needs to copy write their PCB....as far as getting at e.Digital software.....I`m sure others have already tried to get it.
