So true - regardless of how good MOS may or may not be, it`s no good to us if they can`t sell it. e.Digital has apparently failed to demonstrate real value to its potential customers - causing those customers to look elsewhere. There`s no reason why they couldn`t or shouldn`t have been involved with PocketDish for example. They were involved with Fusion on a pPVR device over two years ago. Fusion evidently backed off on the concept but the idea was a good one. Why e.Digital either didn`t approach Dish Network or couldn`t seal a deal with them is the same reason that they have failed to produce a significant sales contract with anyone else. APS/Wencor/`whoever they want to call themselves` is an anomally - and one that appears to be correcting itself as further involvement with them remains questionable.

I would bet our next ‘update` will talk in vague terms about what they`re planning to work on in the future and very little of what they`ve already accomplished in the way of actual sales, agreements, or even partnerships. Not counting digEplayer orders that have been received, shipped, or will ship in coming quarters, I doubt they`ll present anything new of substance that might indicate a change from the status quo.

And no, I don`t need my hand held. What I need is a reason to be optimistic about the future of this company - something based on facts rather than speculation, faith, or just ‘staying positive`.
