Lets look t the way Handal might have. they first saw that USPO credited EDIG with those patents at question. That is its self a loaded canon. They saw that EDIG had already collected money from those small ones for their involvement in infringement. Thats a record that now has improved with the deciion of USPO.

What ever it is that these have to say about what they have as far as Flash , USPO say's it is the property of EDIG. If its the property of EDIG you are guilty of infringment. These companies in question must prove that they are not infringing. That means they must produce evidence such as a patent of their own or a liscence to use what they have that has been approved by guess who, USPO.
