Okay, I do agree with what you say re: security protocol in the digE - assuming APS specified same in it`s original spec and there were words in the development contract indicating APS ownership of that aspect (or other things could kick in re: contract type). But I really didn`t want to get bogged down on that in the context of the discussion at hand. EDIG now has the medEviewer, presumably with security protocol sufficient to avoid conflict with APS/Wencor/digEcor, while also sufficient to enable availability of independently acquired content. That was the point.
