Who knows what EDIG remnants they might have just hangin` out. I think BL got the steal of the century when he grabed an O-1000 (?) for $100 at a Gateway GOB sale. At that time, it was a $249 product.

Good Guys was / is the higher end CE store. Big margins, lower volume. That model just doesn`t cut it any longer as the $39 boom box at Wal-Mart (house brand) is just as good as the branded $139 boom box at Good Guys. Turning cheap labor into US greenbacks in China with high volume manufacturing has changed many retail concepts. Since good service is rare at the retail level, then price becomes king.

But the really good news is all the major mass merchants now want a piece of the guitar market. By Black Friday, all the big guys and many ``associated`` retailers will have them there geeetars. That makes some of us smile a lot!
